I am a tutor who is confident that all children can, and should, succeed. I'm available to help students in algebra, elementary math, reading, writing, English, computer science, and a multitude of other subjects. I can also work with students on their organization and study skills. I decided to pursue my passion for education at Emporia State, where I received my degree in Integrated Studies. I continued on with my studies and earned my master's in Elementary Education at Rockhurst University. While I was working towards both of my degrees I was frequently working with students. I've been a teaching assistant for summer school students, worked as a tutor in an elementary school, worked as a substitute teacher, and I've been a camp counselor. In order for a student to be successful, they need to have the necessary resources and tools provided to them. I understand that all students have different learning styles, and as a tutor I cater my teaching style to each individual student that I work with. I love witnessing my students achieve their academic and personal goals. That moment when a student understands a concept that they have been struggling with is a rewarding moment to watch. In my free time I enjoy working out, skiing, and spending time with my family.
